Since opening its doors to Madrid in 1994, the El Jamón y el Churrasco restaurant has been a popular destination for traditional Spanish cuisine. A real local’s choice, El Jamón y el Churrasco is a typical Spanish eatery, boasting various spaces in which to enjoy classic Iberian cooking. The Meson is the more informal area, complete with a bar where a great range of delicious tapas can be enjoyed alongside a glass of fine wine from the extensive cellar. For a more formal dining experience, the restaurant area at El Jamón y el Churrasco is divided into 3 dining rooms, each decorated in a rustic style and all stylish yet comfortable. The menu features a good selection of typical Spanish dishes and is combined with specialties from Galicia such as the incredible Churrasco a la Gallega (strips of succulent ribs which have been cooked on a charcoal fire, served with chips and salad). The best thing about this dish is that you can eat as much as you want and the meat is served in stages to ensure it doesn’t get cold. The young veal chops from Segovia is another highlight as are the amazing sweet peppers stuffed with cod. At El Jamón y el Churrasco you’ll find Spanish food and wine at its best.
